We are delighted to present the photography group exhibition “Mapping the History”, curated by Daphne Zoumboulakis, within the context of the celebrations of the two hundred years since the Greek revolution, organized by the Municipality of Hydra.
Following the historic route that crosses through heritage buildings and sights, we have created a photographic journey dedicated to Hydra island through the eyes of the 17 participating photographers. The international selection of the participants, both professional and amateur, was based on their intimate relation to Hydra.
Maria Voulgari (https://hydrawalkingtours.com/ , contact phone number : +30 697 690 1736) will be organizing guided tours of this specific route, where the visitors will have the opportunity to approach Hydra not only through its historic past, but also through the contemporary view of the invited photographers.
After the completion of the exhibition, the municipality of Hydra will donate the photographs to institutions or/and to public spaces in the island.
The exhibition will be part of the numerous events that will take place in the occasion of the 200 years celebrations.
