“Zoumboulakis Galleries: Special Editions 1966-2016”
Zoumboulakis Galleries, from 1966 that inaugurates the space in Kriezotou 7 str. onwards, apart from the continuous promotion of Contemporary Art –through their exhibitions, showcase the work of collaborating artists via special editions, engravings, lithographs, giclée prints etc.
The exhibition “Zoumboulakis Galleries: Special Editions 1966-2016” opens at Kolonaki Sq. gallery. Silkscreens by various artists such as Akrithakis, Giorgio De Chirico, Sonia Delaunay, Elytis, Hadjikyriakos-Gkikas, Miró, Moralis, Nikolaou, Pavlos, Niki de Saint Phalle, Cosmas & Constantin Xenakis, Tsarouchis, Takis and younger collaborating artists will be presented. Many among them of collectible value, all signed by the artists, these Special Editions not only go back over the gallery’s history and the artists’ course but they refer also to the development of art reproduction techniques.
The visitor will have the opportunity to approach a variety of works through these interesting reproduction techniques.
